Lets address your poll. What it shows is that 38% of Americans strongly disapprove of Obama's job performance. I could be one of those also, but I think it more accurately reflects those who didn't vote for him and disapprove anything he might do whether good or bad. The permanent Obama hater - much like yourself.
21% approve of the job he's done. I might agree with you that they're the hard core Obama groupies who worship anything he says. I am not one of those.
But that still leave the rest. 62% of voters or Americans who vote are not included in your statistics — who are they? I believe the majority of those left off the poll are Obama voters, much like myself, who aren't thrilled that Obama hasn't ended the wars or shut down GITMO, or taken on the religious right with a little more zeal. He's trying to appease a group that will never let him succeed. I say, go for the kill while you have the power. At least then he could say he at least tried.
I will probably vote for him again and hope as a lame duck he shows us some of that fire he displayed while campaigning the first time.
Sotomeyer is not much worse of a legal authority than Clarence Thomas. Speaking of Thomas I was glad to read that one of his big financial supporters was asked by Thomas to restore the estuaries and swamps outside of Savannah.
