President Barack Obama provided the opportunity of a lifetime this past weekend to Republicans.  He was willing to make significant cuts to the social entitlement programs (Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid) that became sacred over the past few decades. 

Why didn't the Republicans jump at the opportunity?  Because they did not want to cut tax loopholes and subsidies for the wealthy and their corporate buddies!

Meanwhile in the sideshow, Weeper Boehner and Traitor Cantor are waging their own behind-the-scenes political battle to determine who actually controls the House of Representatives with Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul speaking out to whip up the crazies.

Does anyone have any doubt that Boehner is weeping?

Yes LW there is a name for people like him its called HYPOCRITE.Yes I wonder about the repug rewrite of the ten commandments. Kind of like the Tx. school board rewrite of history

Yes LW old halfwit needs to read the Bible and not just pick verses he likes .Judge not lest you be judged means God did not go on vacation and leave hf in charge.Judgement belongs to God on judgement day.Remember hf it says also what you do to the least of my children you do unto me.

So very sweet the way President Obama forced the Republicants to show the voters (and indeed the world) that they care nothing at all for what is good for the country. That must be some thick bubble they live in to not hear or see or even be aware of reality and the wishes of their voting constituency.

I almost feel sorry for Boehner having to deal with Brutus Cantor.

lol I don't know if Boehner is weeping, but I bet he's drinking, cuz the stupidity of his party and backers (like our ol' friend' Heifer)would drive almost anyone to drink.

Yes lw I guess about all hf can come up with to divert attention to his insidious ranting is to say no one notices his spelling and grammer mistakes lol.I am not his english teacher.I just thought he is dumb and overlook it.And he says he is a christian yea right.

Maybe I should not have used the screenplay format. Probably a little confusing for some who don't know the format.

The dialogue of Barney Frank was true, and although simple in its delivery was very precise about why we now find ourselves in a financial mess. The Republicans and every Democrat who voted for the wars and extending the Bush tax cuts have only themselves to blame.

The Fox News anchor was fiction - sort of.

INT. - BUDGET HEARING - DAY

BARNEY FRANK

These guys here voted for the war in Afghanistan -- I didn't. That would have meant an extra 1 trillion dollars not spent.

These guys voted for the war in Iraq -- I didn't . Now we have another 2 trillion dollars not spent.

These guys voted to extend the Bush tax cuts -- I didn't. That's another 2 trillion dollars we could use. These guys (pointing to the Republicans) voted for all that spending and now they want to know how to fix the budget. If we followed my votes we'd have an extra 5 trillion dollars and no budget crisis.

CUT TO:

Republicans Congressmen sitting speechless with their jaws dropped open.
