Dear Editor,

The annual meeting of the historic Oak Hill Cemetery Association will be held Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. at the Goliad City Hall meeting room.

Anyone who is interested in history or has family buried there is encouraged to attend. Members of the Goliad Historical Commission are also cordially invited.

Meetings are only held one time each year and it is important for friends to know how the association operates. Your input is important.

We are grateful for the benefactors who have stepped forward to make contributions which enable us to carry out the necessary maintenance and repairs during the past year.

The cemetery association would also like to express appreciation to the White Family Trust for their gift for the upkeep of the cemetery. Appreciation is also extended to the city and county workers for their continued cooperation and help with cemetery needs.

Contact persons are Letitia Robinson, Florine Davis, Janie Von Dohlen, and Robin Barnhill. Tom Denham, our out-of-state historian, has provided on-line cemetery records through www.findagrave.com, and www.rootsweb.com.

If you desire more information or wish to voice concerns please feel free to call 361-645-3577.

Please mark your calendar for 10 a.m. April 26 at the Goliad City Hall.
