Biased and unfair or just plain racism?

It has come to the community’s attention that Commissioner Shelby Dupnik is facing accusations of wrongdoing.

This has been brought out in an audit report in Commissioners Court.

Now I must present the facts and raise these questions.

When former Karnes County Treasurer Sandra Garza was indicted, she was forced to leave her office. When the present Karnes County Treasurer, Vi Malone was indicted by the grand jury she was charged with a felony that was eventually reduced to a class B misdemeanor.

She was then placed on probation and granted an early release of probation and granted an early release of probation by one of our district judges; kept her job with no record.

When former Karnes County Commissioner Juan Martinez was alleged of wrongdoing, he was fully investigated.

Now that one of our present commissioners, Shelby Dupnik has been possibly accused of wrong doing, I wonder, will the “good ole boy” system again prevail? Will the trend continue? Or will there be a full investigation?

The citizens of Karnes County deserve to know the truth. There should be justice and equality for all regardless of race, creed, color or religious belief.
