Editor:

The tornado that hit in my street of St. Marys and Victoria St in Runge, left many of my neighbors shakened up. Many sheds, roofs, homes and trees were destroyed. Thank God they all came out of this unharmed; however the cleaning up has taken them many labor hours.

All those tree branches and debris are piled on top of each other by the side of the street waiting to be picked up. Almost a month has gone by and the city has yet to pick them up. I’ve counted 4 sky high piles of tree branches. These need to be picked up soon, so they can continue with their clean up.

There are two deep holes that city dug up in front of my house on St Marys. The water pipes are still exposed. They haven’t gotten to cover that up. Thats a law suit waiting to happened if anyone falls in. It’s been almost two months.

Our streets have so many pot holes that we have been forced to drive on the edge of the street making new tracks. These could be covered up.

I’m very disappointed with the newer elected officials that got voted in. They don’t listen to us. Frankly, I feel duped by them.

I was prompt to write to you for the simple reason that this matter need to be addressed even if the only recourses is the Media.
