On Thursday, April 17 at 8:10 a.m. there was a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of State Highway 80 and Farm-to-Market Road 792. EMS transported one patient to Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital due to AirLife helicopter grounded due to weather conditions. Sheriff’s deputies and DPS worked together at the crash scene.
Later that same day at 2:12 p.m. DPS and sheriff’s office deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash north of Hobson. There were no injuries.
Just twenty minutes later, DPS and sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover near Hobson on U.S. Highway 181. EMS also responded to the scene.
Less than an hour later, at 3:25 p.m., DPS and sheriff’s deputies responded to another one-vehicle rollover involving a driver who was believed to have suffered a heart attack. The driver was transported by EMS to Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital due to AirLife being grounded for poor weather conditions.
At 4:48 p.m. that same afternoon, DPS and sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an 18-wheeler that had rolled over on Farm-to-Market Road 791 west of Falls City. There were no injuries or spill related to the accident.
The following morning, at 8:12 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 181 near the GEO Unit in Karnes City. No injuries resulted from the accident.
