June Coward Brandon, 82, died Nov. 25, 2012.

June was born in Whitseete, Texas, Jan. 7, 1930. She was a Matron of the Harris County Sheriff Dept.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Coward; mother, Pauline Mers; two baby sisters, and one baby brother and son-in-law, Mickey (Paco) McGregor.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Hubert Brandon; children, Scharee McGregor of Corpus Christi, Jacqueline Dawn Verlander of San Antonio, and Ernest Shelton (Bud) of Clinton, Ak.; grandchildren, Billy Porche, Ernest Shelton, Denise Grise, Jessica La Rue, Grant Shelton, Brandy Hibdon, Casey Morante; and ten and a half great grandchildren.

Visitation began at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Guardian Funeral Home and funeral services were held at 6 p.m. that evening.
