Today is bittersweet and is a day I never thought would come, but it is time to inform you that I have made the decision to transfer to Corpus Christi.  I will be assuming the District 11 4-H and Youth Development Specialist position.  It will be much of what I’m doing now, just on a bigger scale.  It’s bittersweet because for the past 4 ½ years Karnes County has been my home.  I’m so thankful that I was welcomed with open arms into Karnes County and it will always have a special place in my heart. I have loved every minute of my time in Karnes County. Parents, thank you for allowing me to work with your children over the years.  It has been some of the best times and I have some of the greatest memories with them.  It has truly been a blessing to be in Karnes County this long.  My last day in the office will be May 8.  I hope I can get to see majority of you between now & then. Meredith Carter, CEA-FCS/4-H Coordinator. The county will be wishing Meredith the best and we will have refreshment from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the County Extension Office.
