The Karnes County National Day of Prayer held this year on Thursday, May 3rd at 7pm was a great big success!
On hand were anointed speakers including Pastor Jimmy Cummings (filling in for Pastor Jon Waller from Runge who was sick) Pastor John Berry, Larry Dement, Brenda Taylor, Sherry Sommer, Joe Baker and Bobby Homeyer!
God’s Word was opened before us to pray over our government, churches, military, family, education, media and businesses. Beautiful music was played by Reverend Russell Briley playing the trumpet for the National Anthem followed by Pastor John Wheat, Music Director Robert McKee, and Bobby Homeyer. Karnes County Sheriff David Jalufka led us in the pledge with all this taking place in the Kenedy Civic Center Auditorium in downtown Kenedy, Texas!
How we rejoice as this cool building was provided for us free of charge by the City of Kenedy! Pastors Jim and Yvonne provided the delicious cookies made by talented Brenda Cubillo! Helping to set up were John Torres and Ruben Guzman. A great crowd of over 70 representing churches from Kenedy, Karnes City, Runge and Choate and surrounding areas were in attendance. Everyone was blessed by coming and a delightful fellowship followed!
I am greatly humbled and thankful to be able to serve as your Karnes County National Day of Prayer Coordinator for another year! God richly bless each of you as we continue to pray over our Nation and Karnes and surrounding Counties with dangerous driving conditions we are currently facing. How we thank our God for His mercy as we pray daily Psalms 91 touching our policemen, truckers and all driving!
