Lupe was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Mission to Remigio Garcia and Maria Ochoa Garcia. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ignacio “Nacho” Reyes of Kenedy; her daughters, Brinda Ortiz and Rose Mary Ortiz both of San Antonio; her son, Dennis Villanueva of San Antonio; her sisters, Olivia Diaz of Beeville, Maria Farias of Mathis, Eloisa Sauceda of Mart, Helen DeLaGarza of Kenedy and Frances Saenz of El Paso; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Remigio and Maria Garcia and her sister, Manuela Reyes.
A rosary was recited, Friday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m., in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Norbert Herman officiating.
Interment followed at the Loma Alta Cemetery.
