Proxy Agnes Gawlik Adair, 92, of Austin, formerly of San Marcos, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Austin.

Mrs. Adair was born Jan. 22, 1922, on a farm near Pawelekville, to David and Francis Gawlik. She was the fourth of nine children.

Survivors include her husband, Francis M. Adair of Austin; daughter, Jeanette (Bill) Leon of Austin; son, Barry (Julianna) Adair of Austin; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stanley, Sixtus, Alfred, Archie and Adrian; and sisters, Tillie, Madeline and Teresa.

Visitation began at 9 a.m. Monday, March 17, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa with rosary recited at 10 a.m.

The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed in the Cestohowa Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chad Leon, David Hernandez, James Williams, Matthew Woodchick, Terry Gawlik, David Gawlik, Ronnie Gawlik, and David Osmeyer.
