KARNES COUNTY – A group of 23 young ladies from all across Karnes County will compete for honors in the 2014 Miss Karnes County Pageant, Saturday night, Feb. 15 in the annual event hosted by the Kenedy Rotaty Club.

Little Mr. and Little Miss Karnes County contestants will also compete at the pageant happening at the Kenedy High School Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m.

“The county is blessed with so many wonderful youths that are the future of the communities,” said Kenedy Rotarian Saundra Queen-Schulz. “All are invited to come meet some of them. This year’s entertainment will be the incredibly talented John Wayne Schulz and perhaps even a mystery guest.”

The Emcee will be Kenedy Resident and Rotarian Ron Hyde and the theme this year is “Engage Rotary Change Lives.”

Tickets are $5 for adults and on sale now. As always, admission for students and non-school age children is free. The club encourages advance purchase of tickets from contestants because a special book scholarship is awarded to the young lady who sells the most tickets.

Tickets will also be available at the pageant which is one of the annual scholarship fundraising efforts organized by the Kenedy Rotary Club.
