A wonderful Valentine gift idea for your favorite lady this year would be to place her name on a tile at the Women’s Texas Star Memorial located at the corner of Calvert Street and Panna Maria Street in Karnes City. This project is sponsored by the Karnes City Home and Garden Club, a non-profit organization.

This memorial was built in honor of the women of Karnes County who have lived ad worked here and are still providing their contributions to this county whether a mother, teacher, nurse, business woman or in public service.

Women currently living in Karnes County and those who may have completed their work here and are now assigned to heaven are eligible.

Contact Marlane Smith at 830-780-2635 and arrange for a tile in honor of that special someone. The price for a tile is $65 and funds received will be used for the memorial.
