Annette Cain, 88, of Waco formerly of Runge, entered into eternal rest on May 17 in Waco. She was born on May 12, 1922, in Runge and married her late husband Joseph Cain on March 15, 1942.

Annette had taught in Harlingen, Texas, for one year and for 20 years in Runge before retiring. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Runge ladies VFW auxiliary for 35 years and also a member of the Birthday Club and Runge Cemetery Association, as well as part of the Church of Christ.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Martha Sellers of Austin; her grandsons Ken (Melissa) Sellers of Loveland, Colo., and Vincent (Jennifer) Sellers of Austin; and her great grandchildren Dylan and Kailey Sellers of Loveland, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Koenig and Addie Lyons Koenig; and her husband Joseph Cain. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 20, graveside in Runge, Malcolm P. Gulley officiating.

Services were entrusted to Eckols Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial contributions to go to the World Wildlife Foundation.
