Nina Park, Business and Professional Women's Club president, left, and Lulan Fraser, B&PW legislative chairman, hold up the flag that was displayed in the parade of flags at the opening session of the B&PW State Convention in Brownsville on June 25. Mrs. Park and Mrs. Fraser represented the Beeville Club at the convention. Credited with the design, sketch and painting of the flag are Grace Bauer, Cleo Fraser and Margie Whitenton, respectively. Other members of the club also contributed to the making of the flag. The Bee on the flag depicts Bee County College in its left hand, NAS Chase Field (a jet off the wings), cowboys (boots), herefords (forehead), oil (derrick), broom corn (in hand) and cotton (bale on stomach).
