BALL (Be Active Live Longer) had it Christmas celebration Friday, Dec. 7, at the First United Methodist Church. Tables were decorated with a Christmas theme of small figurines, greenery with accents of red flowers and red tablecloths.

Penny Ladd won the door prize presented by Verma Ford. Kelly McNeese from Edward Jones distributed information and led the program discussion concerning upcoming changes in the Medicare program. Emphasis was placed on the cost of long-term care for the future. She suggested checking online at medicare.org for one’s co-pay on certain prescriptions with various insurance companies to determine which one has the best program for you.

Watch for the January 2013 program in the Bee-Picayune.
