Since November 2011, the students have been studying ancient Egypt in preparation for a visit to the King Tutankhamen exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. In observance of National Poetry Month, each student has chosen a topic from ancient Egypt about which they have written a 12-line poem. Once written, they illustrated, photographed and made a movie of their poem. The movie is narrated by the students and includes an Egyptian music soundtrack.
The event will be held at the Beeville Art Museum on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
