It hopes to reach a goal of 50 donated backpacks this August and invite the community to participate by:
• donating your gently used backpack with working zippers, or
• Buying a new backpack and/or
• Making a tax deductible donation ($15 equals one backpack).
Items needed include: one-hole punch, two-pocket folders, three-ring binders and three-ring binder dividers, backpacks, black pens, blue pens, bottles of glue, boxes of storage bags, boxes of tissue, calculators, composition books, construction paper, crayon packs, dry erase markers, erasers, glue sticks, hand sanitizer, high lighters, mechanical pencils, No. 2 pencils, packages of handi-wipes, packages of markers, packs of colored pencils, packs of index cards, packs of paper, packs of spiral paper, packs of tape, paper towel rolls, pencil boxes, pencil sharpeners, red pencils, red pens, rulers, scissors.
Items can be dropped off at the leasing office at The Reserve at Jones Road, located at 2101 N. Frontage Road off the U.S. Highway 181 Bypass. Last day to make donations is Friday, Aug. 1.
