While the statistics do not reflect it, the Badger Basketball team has come a long way into the ending stretch of the season.

Luling edged out the Badgers 44-42 Friday night, but they held it close the entire game. Senior Philip Vaughan led with 19 points, and junior Dylan Lopez hit two three-pointers and senior Jacob Puente hit one from the perimeter.

The Karnes City Badgers basketball team lost Jan. 29’s away conference game against Stockdale by a score of 50-42.

The boys continue District 28-2A action against Poth this Friday, Feb. 8, beginning with JV at 5 p.m. here at home. They end their season Feb. 12 as they travel to Schulenburg.
