Ball, 59, a lifelong resident of Goliad County, filed as a Republican. Ball said he wants to assure “accountability of all our tax dollars” and “help promote a business friendly environment to entice businesses to come to Goliad County and stay and provide numerous and good-paying jobs and keep the ones we have” in a letter sent to the Advance-Guard.
Ball, who teaches science at Beeville Jones High School, also said he wants to “create a more cooperative climate within the commissioners court and also with other taxing entities in Goliad County.”
Ball graduated from Goliad High School, Bee County College and Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Ball resides in the Berclair area where he operates his ranch.
