Tom and Karole Beasley of Beeville are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Laura Frances Beasley, of Beeville to Matthew Nicholas Ottensman of Dallas, son of Larry and Laura Brazeal and Matt and Arleen Ottensman, all of Dallas.

The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her degree in kinesiology, and a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts of Austin. She is the granddaughter of the late John C. and Anna Beasley and Mrs. Kathryn Lamborn of Stockton, Calif., and the late Dr. Howard Lamborn.

The prospective groom received his degree in political science from Texas A&M University in College Station. He is the grandson of the late Harold and Carolyn Ottensman and the late Charles Foster and Christeen Foshee.

The couple plan to wed at First United Methodist Church in Beeville on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 5 p.m.
