Falls City sophomore Cody Houdmann rounds second base against Woodsboro last Thursday.  Houdmann went 3 for 5 with two RBIs, a double and he scored two runs.  The Beavers defeated the Eagles 19-14.  Senior Yosehp Cruz was the winning pitcher with 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Beavers also defeated Runge earlier in the week.  Junior Austen Camber was the wining pitcher against Runge with five strikeouts and 3 walks. The Beavers rallied from behind to win 15-14 over the Yellow Jackets in 8 innings  to improve their district record to 3-4. Junior Jonathon Sekula had the winning RBI, going 5 from 6 from the plate and driving in 6 runs on the evening. Falls City freshman Mitch Lyssy and Cody Houdmann also had strong evenings at the plate as both batted .750.     The next game for Falls City is in Kenedy on Wednesday at 4:30 due to the state testing schedule.
