SAN ANTONIO – A locally based girls fastpitch softball team, Beeville’s Finest, recently competed in the third annual Triathalon tournament that draws competition from all over the state.

The team is made up of players from San Antonio, Kenedy, New Braunfels, Seguin and Beeville. The Beeville players included Saleen Flores, Kailey Perez, Rebekah Mendoza, Jasmine Terry, Brandi Rios and Allison Gonzales. The team is coached by David Perez.

The “Finest” got to the championship game and defeated a tough Eagle Pass Slamm squad 4-1 to bring the championship trophy back to Beeville.

The team will be together most of the summer and will be competing in other major tournaments in the area.

“These girls played hard and never gave up. This is going to be a frequent thing for us to do,” said Perez.
