Sheriff Robert Bolcik reported 2,731 calls went through dispatch from July 6 to July 12.

The sheriff’s department responded to 51 calls; the Refugio Police Department, 31; state troopers, 14; medics, 20; Woodsboro Marshal, seven; animal control, eight; Tivoli VFD, one.

DWI arrest

Trooper David Cordova arrested a driver during a traffic stop on July 12, at 1:10 p.m. South of Hwy. 77.

The driver failed the field sobriety test men and his passenger was arrested for public intoxication.

Warrant arrest

Officer Stacey Allen and Duqualis Farrow were dispatched to the Bayside Pier on July 11, at 11:10 p.m. to investigate a report that a female was possibly intoxicated.

According to the reports the female had bloody hands and appeared to have been in a fight.

She was transported to Refugio County Jail on a warrant for her arrest.

Physical disturbance

Deputy Kolton Kendall was dispatched to a Bayside residence to investigate a report of a fight between a father and son on July 9, at 9:02 p.m.

According to reports the father reported that his son had destroyed his computer. The man was taken to Refugio County Jail for family assault and the son was charged with criminal mischief.

Family fight

Medic’s and officers were dispatched to a funeral at 11:03 a.m. on July 9.

A fight broke out at Moore Funeral Home, according to reports.

A female subject was transported to Refugio Memorial Hospital.
