The price of tickets for adults is $5 and admission is free for students.
The 2012 Miss Bluebonnet Days, her court and all new contestants vying for the title will perform a dance number to “God Bless Texas.”
Contestants will be judged on a three minute informal interview, western and formal wear and an on stage impromptu question.
In an effort to encourage and assist young students in their journey to a higher education, the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that this year’s queen and her court will receive the following Scholarships:
Miss Bluebonnet Days Queen - $1,000 Scholarship, Miss Bluebonnet Days 1st Runner-up - $750 Scholarship and Miss Bluebonnet Days 2nd Runner-up - $500 Scholarship.
ConocoPhillips will present the Miss Bluebonnet Days Queen and her Court with a beautiful Champion’s Choice Belt Buckle engraved with their winning title.
Awards for Most Photogenic, Best Interview, Most Cooperative and Miss Congeniality will also be presented that night.
The Bluebonnet Days Coronation is the first of many Bluebonnet Days events planned over the next week including a margarita contest at Joe Gulley Park on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m., Bluebonnet Days Parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27 and many events at Joe Gulley Park in Kenedy following the parade.
