The two princesses in order of selection are: first runner-up, Samantha Espinoza, daughter of Hector Espinoza, second runner-up, Amanda Eckols, daughter of Steve and Frances Eckols. At the same time, Alejandra Isabella Hernandez was chosen as Little Miss Bluebonnet Belle. Alejandra is the daughter of Joe and Bridgit Hernandez.
After choosing from a field of 8 candidates, the judges reached their decision on Sunday evening, April 3rd, at a tea held at the home of Paul and Mary Alice may.
A dining room setting of crystal, silver and a spring floral arrangement complemented refreshments which consisted of fresh strawberries, chips and dips, finger sandwiches, decorated bluebonnet sugar cookies, along with strawberry punch.
Each candidate must either be a junior or a senior from Kenedy High School and they are interviewed by a panel of three judges. Serving as the judges this year were: Shelly McDonald of San Antonio, Sandra Chesser of Karnes City and Lisa Theuret of Poth.
Serving as the duchesses of the royal court are Taylor Atkinson, daughter of Scott and Lisa Atkinson, Megan Cantu, daughter of Linda Vernal, Deisree Guerra, daughter of Frederick Guerra and Clarissa Garza, Marissa Torres, daughter of Aurelio and Melissa Torres, Gabrielle Villarreal, daughter of Eddie and Eva Villarreal.
