Bull riding set Oct. 1 at fairgrounds

REFUGIO – Rodeo fans should mark their calendars and reserve Saturday, Oct. 1, for Lester Meier Rodeo Company’s Bull Riding at the fairgrounds.

The Refugio County Fair Board Association is sponsoring the bull riding and will offer a Full Bull Deal, which includes dinner, bull riding and a dance at Padilla Hall featuring the band No Vacancy.

Bull-riding enthusiasts may attend any or any one of the events.

Pre-sale tickets for the Full Bull Deal are $25 and $12.50 for children 5 - 11.

Bull riding starts at 7, with box seating for four offered for $150.

Pre-sale tickets for the bull-riding event only are $10 and $5 for children 5-11. At the gate, tickets are $12 and $7, respectively.

The pre-sale dance tickets are $8 and $4 for children 5-11. At the door, tickets are $10 and 5, respectively.

Plenty of action is also offered at the bull riding including Mutton Bustin’ and Dress a Goat for teams of four people. Entry fee for Dress a Goat is $100 per team, with prize money given to the winner.

Ticket outlets include Tuttle’s, Service Junction, both in Woodsboro; Taqueria Guadelajara in Refugio, Cavender’s in Victoria and Moore Than Feed in Rockport.
