Burris, Dunn elected to Pettus ISD board of trustees

PETTUS — Seven candidates vied for two at-large seats Tuesday on the Pettus Independent School District board of trustees.

T.J. Burris and James Dunn received the highest number of votes and will be the new trustees on the board.

• T.J. Burris - 269 votes

• Carolyn Chandler - 150 votes

• James Dunn - 260 votes

• J.D. Carrillo - 118 votes

• Marissa Gonzales - 214 votes

• Sid Arismendez - 37 votes

• Lucille Chandler - 123 votes

• Jaime Rodriguez, incumbent - 224 votes

• Seana Towner, incumbent - 138 votes.

Both the Skidmore-Tynan and Pawnee school districts canceled their elections, because candidates are running unopposed.
