BEEVILLE — More than 70 local veterans and their families attended the Coastal Bend College Veteran’s Fair on Friday, Nov. 12, on the Beeville campus.

The Veteran’s Fair brought together CBC representatives and about 20 agencies to help veterans obtain information about education benefits, housing assistance and job placement services available to them. Also present at the Veteran’s Fair was the Department of Veterans Affairs Mobile Vet Center, which provides free services such as counseling, help with claims and benefits, and job search assistance to veterans living in rural areas.

Anyone who was unable to attend the Veteran’s Fair and would like more information about enrolling at CBC or about the agencies/services present at the event may contact Rosie Streicher, CBC veterans affairs specialist, at 361-354-2421 or via email at rstreich@coastalbend.edu.
