She was born Jan. 24, 1926, to Arnulfo and Maximino Leal and married Benito (Ben) Almendarez in Beeville on April 24, 1971. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Almendarez was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include one sister, Antonia Arias of Baytown, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Skidmore with Father Sebastian Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
