An interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine

   this week, which I quote: "If you consider that there has been an

   average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during

   the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death

   rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.    The firearm death rate in

Washington, DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the

   same period. That means you are about 25 per cent more likely to be shot and

   killed in the US capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the

  US , than you are in  Iraq .

  Conclusion: The US should pull out of Washington ."

A more belieable version in my opinion.

This sounds like the more accurate story of the rescue with the details it gives.  I got it from an old Army Col Scott McGurk who served with me in Panama where he was with the Paratroopers and is a West Point Grad.  You can't still find much detail on this rescue from the papers or from the Networks.

Then we saw the exculpatory 'corrected' version skillfully crafted by the Obama propaganda machine.

 

Here is the final word, posted by Buddy Wellborn, CDR, USN (Ret.),  USNA Class of 1959, also well connected with the players, who (at last) gives us the name of Bainbridge's skipper.

Your "Real" story is not exactly the way I heard it, and probably has a few political twists thrown in to stir the pot.  Rather than me trying to correct it, I'll just tell you what I found out from my contacts at NSWC Norfolk and at SOCOM Tampa.

 

First though, let me orient you to familiarize you with the "terrain." 

 

In Africa from Djibouti at the southern end of the Red Sea eastward through the Gulf of Aden to round Cape Guardafui at the easternmost tip of Africa (also known as "The Horn of Africa") is about a 600 nm transit before you stand out into the Indian Ocean.  That transit is comparable in distance to that from the mouth of the Mississippi at New Orleans to the tip of Florida at Key West-- except that 600 nm over there is infested with Somalia pirates.

 

Ships turning southward at the Horn of Africa transit the SLOC (Sea Lane of Commerce) along the east coast of Somalia because of the prevailing southerly currents there.  It's about 1,500 nm on to Mombassa, which is just south of the equator in Kenya.  Comparably, that's about the transit distance from Portland Maine down the east coast of the US to Miami Florida.  In other words, the ocean area being patrolled by our naval forces off the coast of Somalia is comparable to that in the Gulf of Mexico from the Mississippi River east to Miami then up the eastern seaboard to Maine.

 

Second, let me globally orient you from our Naval Operating Base in Norfolk, VA, east across the Atlantic to North Africa, thence across the Med to Suez in Egypt, thence southward down the Red Sea to Djibouti at the Gulf of Aden, thence eastward to round Cape Guardafui at the easternmost tip of Africa, and thence southerly some 300 miles down the east cost of Somali out into the high seas of the Indian Ocean to the position of MV ALABAMA is a little more than 7,000 nm, and plus-nine time-zones ahead of EST.

 

Hold that thought, in that, a C-17 transport averaging a little better than 400 kts (SOG) takes the best part of 18 hours to make that trip.  In the evening darkness late Thursday night, a team of Navy SEALs from NSWC (Naval Surface Warfare Center) Norfolk parachuted from such a C-17 into the black waters (no refraction of light) of the Indian Ocean-- close-aboard to our 40,000 ton amphibious assault ship, USS BOXER (LHD 4), the flagship of our ESG (Expeditionary Strike Group) in the AOR (Area Of Responsibility, the Gulf of Aden).  They not only parachuted in with all of their "equipment," they had their own inflatable boats, RHIB's (Rigid Hull, Inflatable Boats) with them for over-water transport.  They went into BOXER's landing dock, debarked, and staged for the rescue-- Thursday night.

 

And, let me comment on time-late:  In that the SEAL's quick response-- departing ready-alert in less than 4 hours from Norfolk-- supposedly surprised POTUS's staff, whereas President Obama was miffed not to get his "cops" there before the Navy.  He reportedly questioned his staff, "Will 'my' FBI people get there before the Navy does?"  It took the FBI almost 12 hours to put together a team and get them packed-up-- for an "at sea" rescue.  The FBI was trying to tell him that they are not practiced to do this-- Navy SEALs are.  But, BHO wanted the FBI there "to help," that is, carry out the Attorney General's (his) orders to negotiate the release of Captain Phillips peacefully-- because apparently he doesn't trust GW's military to carry out his "political guidance."

 

The flight of the FBI's passenger jet took a little less than 14 hours at 500-some knots to get to Djibouti.  BOXER'S helos picked them up and transported them out to the ship.  The Navy SEALs were already there, staged, and ready to act by the time POTUS's FBI arrived on board latter that evening.  Notably, the first request by the OSC (On Scene Commander) that early Friday morning to take them out and save Captain Phillips was denied, to wit:  "No, wait until 'my' FBI people get there."  

 

Third, please consider a candid assessment of ability that finds that the FBI snipers had never practiced shooting from a rolling, pitching, yawing, surging, swaying, heaving platform-- and, target-- such as a ship and a lifeboat on the high seas.  Navies have been doing since Admiral Nelson who had trained "Marines" to shoot muskets from the ship's rigging-- ironically, he was killed at sea in HMS VICTORY at the Battle of Trafalgar by a French Marine rifleman that shot him from the rigging of the French ship that they were grappling alongside.

 

Notably, when I was first training at USNA in 1955, the Navy was doing it with a SATU, Small Arms Training Unit, based at our Little Creek amphib base.  Now, Navy SEAL's, in particular SEAL Team SIX (The "DevGru") based at NSWC (Naval Surface Warfare Center) at Little Creek do that training now, and hone their skills professionally-- daily.  Shooting small arms from a ship is more of an accomplished "Art Form" than it is a practiced skill.  When you are "in the bubble" and "in tune" with the harmonic motion you find, through practice, that you are "able to put three .308 slugs inside the head of a quarter at 100 meters, in day or night-- or, behind a camouflaged net or a thin enclosure, such as a superstructure bulkhead.  Yes, we have the monocular scopes that can "see" heat-- and, draw a bead on it.  SEALs are absolutely expert at it-- with the movie clips to prove it.

 

Okay, now try to imagine patrolling among the boats fishing everyday out on the Grand Banks off our New England coast, and then responding to a distress call from down around the waters between Florida and the Bahamas.  Three points for you to consider here:  (1) Time-Distance-Speed relationships for ships on the high seas, for instance, at a 25-knot SOA (Speed Of Advance) it takes 24 hours to make good 600 nm-- BAINBRIDGE did.  (2) Fishermen work on the high seas, and (3) The best place to hide as a "fisherman" pirate is among other fishermen

 

Early Wednesday morning, 4/8/2009, MV ALABAMA is at sea in the IO about 300 miles off the (east) coast of Somalia en route to Mombassa Kenya.  Pirates in small boat start harassing her, and threatening her with weapons.  MV ALABAMA's captain sent out the distress call by radio, and ordered his Engineer to shut down the engines as well as the ship-service electrical generators-- in our lingo, "Go dark and cold."  He informed his crew by radio what was happening, and ordered them to go to an out-of-the-way compartment and lock themselves in it-- from the inside.  He would stay in the pilot house to "negotiate" with the pirates.  

 

The pirates boarded, captured the Captain, and ordered him to start the engines.  He said he would order his Engineer to do so, and he called down to Engine Control on the internal communication system, but got no answer.  The lead pirate ordered two of his four men to go down and find him and get the engines started.

 

Inside a ship without any lights is like the definition of dark.  The advantage goes to the people who work and live there.  They jumped the two pirates in a dark passageway.  Both pirates lost their weapons, but one managed to scramble and get away.  The other they tied up, put tape over his mouth and a knife at his throat.

 

Other members of the crew opened the drain cocks on the pirates boat and cast it adrift.  It foundered and sunk.  The scrambling pirate made it back to the pilot house and told of his demise.  The pirates took the Captain at gun point, and told him to launch one of his rescue boats (not a life boat, per se).  As he was lowering the boat for them, the crew appeared with the other pirate to negotiate a trade.  The crew let their hostage go to soon, and the pirates kept the captain.  But, he purposefully had lowered the boat so it would jam.

 

With the rescue boat jammed, the pirates jumped over to a lifeboat and released it as the captain jumped in the water.  They fired at him, made him stop, and grabbed him out of the water.  Now, as night falls in the vastness of the Indian Ocean, we have the classic "Mexican" standoff, to wit:  A life-boat that is just that, a life-boat adrift without any means of propulsion except oars and paddles; and, a huge (by comparison) Motor Vessel Container Ship adrift with a crew that is not going to leave their captain behind.  The pirates are enclosed under its shelter-covering, holding the captain as their hostage.  The crew is hunkered down in their ship waiting for the "posse" to arrive.

 

After receiving MV ALABAMA'S distress call, USS BAINBRIDGE (DDG 96) was dispatched by the ESG commander to respond to ALABAMA's distress call.  At best sustainable speed, she arrived on scene the day after-- that is, in the dark of that early Thursday morning.  As BAINBRIDGE quietly and slowly, at darkened-ship without any lights to give her away, arrived on scene, please consider a recorded interview with the Chief Engineer of MV ALABAMA describing BAINBRIDGE's arrival.  He said it was something else "... to see the Navy slide in there like a greyhound!"  He then said as she slipped in closer he could see the "Stars and Stripes" flying from her masthead.  He got choked up saying it was the "...proudest moment of my life."   

Phew!  Let that sink in.

 

Earlier in the day, one of the U.S. Navy's Maritime Patrol Aircraft, a fixed wing P3C, flew over to recon the scene.  They dropped a buoy with a radio to the pirates so that the Navy's interpreter could talk with the pirates.  When BAINBRIDGE arrived, the pirates thought the radio to be a beaconing device, and threw it overboard.  They wanted a satellite telephone so that they could call home for help.  Remember now, they are fishermen, not "Rocket Scientists," in that, they don't know that we can intercept the phone transmission also.

 

MV ALABAMA  provided them with a satellite phone.  They called home back to "somebody" in Eyl Somalia (so that we now know where you live) to come out and get them.  The "somebody" in Eyl said they would be out right away with other hostages, like 54 of them from other countries, and that they would be coming out in two of their pirated ships.  Right-- and, the tooth fairy will let you have sex with her.  Yea, in paradise.  The "somebody" in Eyl just chalked up four more expendables as overhead for "the cost of operation."  Next page.

 

Anyway, ESG will continue to "watch" Eyl for any ships standing out.

 

The Navy SEAL team, SEAL TEAM SIX, from NSWC briefed the OSC (Commander Castellano, CO BAINBRIDGE) on how they could rescue the captain from the life boat with swimmers-- "Combat Swimmers," per se.  That plan was denied by POTUS because it put the captain in danger-- and, involved killing the pirates. 

 

The FBI negotiators arrived on scene, and talked the pirates into sending their wounded man over for treatment Saturday morning.  Later that afternoon, the SEAL's sent over their RHIB with food and water to recon the life boat but the pirates shot at it.  They could have taken them out then (from being fired upon) but were denied again being told that the captain was not in "imminent danger."  The FBI negotiators calmed the situation by informing the pirates of threatening weather as they could see storm clouds closing from the horizon, and offered to tow the life boat.  The pirates agreed, and BAINBRIDGE took them under tow in their wake at 30 meters-- exactly 30 meters, which is exactly the distance the SEALs practice their shooting skills.

 

With the lifeboat under tow, riding comfortably bow-down on BAINBRIDGE's wake-wave ("rooster tail"), had a 17-second period of harmonic motion, and at the end of every half-period (8.5 seconds) was steady on.  The light-enhanced (infra-red heat) monocular scopes on the SEAL's .308 caliber Mark 11 Mod 0 H&K suppressor-fitted sniper rifles easily imaged their target very clearly.  Pirates in a life boat at 30-meters could be compared to fish in a barrel.  All that was necessary was to take out the plexiglass window so that it would not deflect the trajectory of the high velocity .308 round.  So, a sniper (one of four) with a wad-cutter round (a flaxen sabot) would take out the window a split second before the kill-shot-- no change in sight-picture, just the window blowing out, clean.

 

Now, here's the part BHO's "whiz kids" knew as well as the Navy hierarchy, including CO BAINBRIDGE and CO SEAL TEAM SIX.  It's the law in Article 19 of Appendix L in the "Convention of the High Seas" that the Commanding Officer of a US Ship on the high seas is obligated to respond to distress signals from any flagged ship (US or otherwise), and protect the life and property thereof when deemed to be in IMMINENT DANGER.  So, in the final analysis, it would be Captain Castellano call as to "Imminent Danger," and that he alone was obligated (duty bound) to act accordingly.

 

Got the picture?

 

After medically attending to the wounded pirate, and feeding him, come first light (from the east) on Easter Sunday morning and the pirates saw they were being towed further out to sea (instead of westward toward land), the wounded pirate demanded to be returned to the lifeboat.  There would BE NO more negotiations-- and, the four Navy SEAL snipers "in the bubble" went "Unlock."  The pirate holding Captain Philips raised the gun to his head, and IMMINENT DANGER was so observed and noted in the Log as CO BAINBRIDGE gave the classic order: WEAPONS RELEASED!   I can hear the echo in my earpiece now, "On my count (from 8.5 seconds), 3, 2, 1, !"  POP, BANG!  Out went the window, followed by three simultaneous shots.  The scoreboard flashed: "GAME OVER, GAME OVER-- NAVY 3, PIRATES 0!"

 

I hope you found the above informative as best I know it-- and, please excuse me in that after more than 50 years the Navy is still in me.  I submit that AMERICA is going to make a comeback, and more than likely it'll be on the back of our cherished youth serving with honor in Our military.  So, let's

SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

I have read and reread this document, with a great deal of interest, trying to find some light as to why this document was put together, when it was put together, what it really means , and what it means for our future. I have done some study and analysis of what I think its message is, and what we can expect in the future.

 

The following tells you what I found, what conclusions I drew from the findings, and what I believe we can expect in the future.

 

 

FINDINGS:

 

1.      The SCOPE, establishes the concept that “Federal efforts to influence domestic public opinion must be conducted in an overt and transparent manner, clearly identifying United States government sponsorship. (Is this setting the stage for a Dictatorship, or what?

 

2.      This document leaves no doubt but that Rightwing Extremist means any person or organization that does not agree with the present President, his administration, and the Congress, in any way with any issue.

 

3.      The race card is used eight times in regard to the President.

 

4.      White supremacists are mentioned several times.

 

5.      Military veterans are classified as suspect.

 

6.      Religious persons are suspect.

 

7.      Right to life proponents are named as suspect.

 

8.      Believers in the second amendment to the constitution are suspect.

 

9.      In fact, all believers in the constitution are suspect.

 

10.  Examples of Rightwing Extremist and incidents occurred as late as four days before the release of the document.

 

11.  Most other incidents of Rightwing Extremist occurred in the 1990s.

 

12.  After identifying and briefly discussing the various issues that identifying a Rightwing Extremist, expresses an opinion that none are serious issues at this time.

 

13.  No where in the report is recognition  given to the existence of  Leftwing Extremists.

 

14.  Clearly, an individual or group who disagrees with establishment’s position on the Constitution is a Rightwing Extremist.

 

 

 

CONCLUSIONS:

 

 

From these findings, many conclusions can be drawn. None of them good. The following are the conclusions that I think are most likely:

 

1.    The report clearly establishes the policy and the right for the Federal Government to make positive efforts to control the domestic public opinions of individuals and groups.

 

2.    Sends the message that the Federal Government will dictate public opinion, and will not tolerate dissent.

 

3.    Sends the message that those who refuse to accept the Federally dictated positions on issues will be demonized, as was George Bush and his administration for the last five years

 

4.     The Summary report was a quickly prepared document and was release in a manner and time as a kick-off for things to come.

 

5.    The real demonization is yet to come, probably in installments as they ratchet up for future elections.

 

6.    The report clearly defines all who oppose one or more Federally established issues as Rightwing Extremist.

 

7.    The Federal establishment is the Leftwing Extremist, since the Right wing is not mentioned.

 

8.    The Federal Government will play fast and loose with the Race card as benefits its interest.

 

9.    The intent is to ratchet up the demonization process as fast as  the public will accept it, preparing for future election cycles.

 

10.               The Leftwing Extremists are not mentioned because the report was prepared by and for them.

 

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

          Hunker down and be prepared to be demonized until future elections sets us free.

 

Like many others I was surprised that it took four days for the US Navy to bring an end to this kidnapping and act of piracy. 

 

The official story of the events smelled but I knew it wouldn't be long until I could reach out to former shipmates and get perhaps more accurate retelling.  At no time did I ever expect the Obama Administration to provide the true sequence of events.

 

What you read below may or may not be accurate.  In fact it could well be totally inaccurate.  It is a compliation from several sources and none of it has been verified by me or anyone else.  I'm sure that at some future date we will get the "real story" and can then determine how much of the below is true.  You make your own decision.

 

1.  Obama wouldn't authorize the Naval Special Warfare Command SEAL teams to the scene for 36 hours, going against Onsite Commander (on scene commander) recommendation.

2.  Once they arrived, Obama imposed restrictions on their Rules of Engagement that they couldn't do anything unless the hostage's life was in "imminent" danger

3.  The first time the hostage jumped, the SEALS had the pirates all sighted in, but could not fire due to Rules of Engagement restriction.

4.  When the navy Rubber Inflatable Boat came under fire as it approached with supplies, no fire was returned due to Rules of Engagement restrictions.  As the pirates were shooting at the Rubber Inflatable Boat, they were exposed and the SEALS had them all dialed in.

5.  Obama specifically denied two rescue plans developed by the Bainbridge Captain and SEAL teams.

6.  The Bainbridge Captain and SEAL team Commander finally decide they have the Operations Area and Onsite Commander authority to solely determine risk to hostage.  4 hours later, 3 dead pirates.

7.  Obama immediately claims credit for his "daring and decisive" behavior.  As usual with him, it's BS.

So per our last email thread, I'm downgrading Obama's performace to D-.  Only reason it's not an F is that the hostage survived.

Read the following additional accurate account.

Philips’ first leap into the warm, dark water of the Indian Ocean hadn’t worked out as well. With the Bainbridge in range and a rescue by his country’s Navy possible, Philips threw himself off of his lifeboat prison, enabling Navy shooters onboard the destroyer a clear shot at his captors — and none was taken.

The guidance from National Command Authority — the President of the United States, Barack Obama — had been clear: a peaceful solution was the only acceptable outcome to this standoff unless the hostage’s life was in clear, extreme danger.

The next day, a small Navy boat approaching the floating raft was fired on by the Somali pirates — and again no fire was returned and no pirates killed. This was again due to the cautious stance assumed by Navy personnel thanks to the combination of a lack of clear guidance from Washington and a mandate from the commander in chief’s staff not to act until Obama, a man with no background of dealing with such issues and no track record of decisiveness, decided that any outcome other than a “peaceful solution” would be acceptable.

After taking fire from the Somali kidnappers again Saturday night, the on scene commander decided he’d had enough.

Keeping his authority to act in the case of a clear and present danger to the hostage’s life and having heard nothing from Washington since yet another request to mount a rescue operation had been denied the day before, the Navy officer — unnamed in all media reports to date — decided the AK47 one captor had leveled at Philips’ back was a threat to the hostage’s life and ordered the Naval Special Warfare Command team to take their shots.

Three rounds downrange later, all three brigands became enemy KIA and Philips was safe.

There is upside, downside, and spinside to the series of events over the last week that culminated in yesterday’s dramatic rescue of an American hostage.

Almost immediately following word of the rescue, the Obama administration and its supporters claimed victory against pirates in the Indian Ocean and declared that the dramatic end to the standoff put paid to questions of the inexperienced president’s toughness and decisiveness.

Despite the Obama administration’s (and its sycophants’) attempt to spin yesterday’s success as a result of bold, decisive leadership by the inexperienced president, the reality is nothing of the sort.  What should have been a standoff lasting only hours — as long as it took the USS Bainbridge and its team of Naval Special Warfare Command operators to steam to the location — became an embarrassing four day and counting standoff between a ragtag handful of criminals with rifles and a U.S. Navy warship.

 

The other day my daughter was telling me she thought building a Skate Park for these "Skater Dudes" was a good idea. She knew I didn't support it. I asked her what we should do to show our support? She thought making a donation to the City for the Skate Park might be a good idea and may encourage other good citizens to show their support in the same way. I asked her if she thought $50 might work and she agreed it would. So, I told her if she would wash both cars and cut the grass I would send the $50 to the City in her name.

Off she went to get the hose, a bucket of soapy water and the vacuum. A short time later she came in looking all sweaty and damp.

I asked her how she was doing? She said, "Dad, why don't the kids and their families who want the Skate Park and will be using it come and wash the cars and cut the grass then you could give the $50 to them?

I responded, "think about it." After a few moments of silence I could see the lights come on and I thought to myself, "maybe I'm raising a little Republican after all."

The rest of our conversation was about how these kids and their families were fine with demanding a Skate Park as long as they didn't have to put forth any effort or funds to build it. They were perfectly willing to put the funding and effort on the taxpayer. And yeah, I know these families pay taxes too. They sure as hell don't pay enough to build a Skate Park.

Pick up any copy of the Bee Pic that has the Birth Announcements in the issue and count how many of the announcements only list the new mother's name. Sometimes it is as few a 50 percent or less of the listings. Who will support those kids? The taxpayer. Hey, anyone can make a mistake but after two or three you would think these boys and girls would learn what it is causing those pregnancies.

When Obama told us that he would "totally change the economic system;" "totally change America;" and "totally change the world," he wasn't kidding. There has been much speculation that he "doesn't know what he is doing." In a sense they are right, but in one thing they are dead wrong and that is he intends to carry out his promises as they pertain to the country's economic system, the social system and how America fits into the international order. To think otherwise is to ignore the obvious.



Observing the United States of America destroy itself from within is one of the most heart rending, angering, events imaginable, but it is happening. Several years ago, I included sarcastic comments in an essay for the benefit of Osama bin Laden, exhorting him to be patient because all he had to do was wait and the US would destroy itself. Tragically, that sarcastic admonition is in advanced stages of coming to fruition.



The USA, once the economic envy of the world is fast becoming its whipping boy, its laughing stock, and its economic and social black hole. Once the defender of righteousness and good, it is rapidly declining into the pit of self-delusion, over-indulgence and Rome, except that it took Rome longer to fall than the length of its history of the United States from its founding to date.



The International Monetary Fund is based on the U.S. Dollar but if one has been paying attention of late, there have been some heavy weights that have called for a change from the dollar to some other form of international currency. Even light-weight, Islamo-facist Iran made similar calls during the past year. And despite Obama's pathetic overtures directly to the Iranian people; his embarrassing "reset" with Russia; whatever gimmick he comes up with for China; his wild inflationary spending, dollar devaluing; financial markets takeover intended to generate pressure for a "total change to the world economic system," Obama voters asked for it, now he is delivering. So, why the surprise?



In an AP article dated March 21, 2009, by Andrew Taylor, "Agenda on Track Despite Worsening Deficits" Taylor explains the projection of Obama Administration multi-trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. Deficits of that magnitude were not caused by the "failed policies of the Bush Administration" about which Democrat Candidate B. Hussein Obama railed with regularity during the recent election cycle. Where it had its beginning during the Bush Administration, the magnitude and scope of the present crisis is entirely and directly attributable to Obama's legislative and leadership initiatives.



Bush Administration deficits were child's play, at $500 billion annually, by comparison to Obama's in league with the socialists in Congress planned, multi-trillion dollar spending spree; which incidentally began with his $787 Billion "Stimulus Bill," followed by the $410 billion Omnibus, earmark-bloated spending Bill. Both of which are on top of the Bush Administrations paltry $138 billion stimulus bill of last spring and the $70 billion dollar bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and $30 billion Bear Stearns binge.



In a laughable moment during his recent White House Press Conference Obama stated that we would move the economy from "borrow and spend to save and invest," this on the heels of the largest expansion of government spending in history. Of course the "lemmings" lapped it up, but reality is that the statement was made on the heels of ten year projections of multi-trillion dollar deficits. So, either Mr. Obama doesn't have a clue, or he is, shall we say, "prevaricating?" Worse yet, there is plenty of circumstantial evidence that Obama is intentionally overspending to bring the dollar and economy to bankruptcy so that people will beg for a complete government takeover. And what would such a takeover be called? A bailout? Or communism?



The Democrats repeatedly bashed President Bush for his "failed economic policies" that is, "tax breaks for the rich," "excessive spending" (if one can believe that coming from Democrats) and the cost of the "unnecessary" War on Terror. Their stated theory was that if the rich had been taxed there would be no need for deficit spending. They point to the "surplus" from the Clinton years to the deficit in the Bush years as proof of their argument. Additionally, they blame the cost of the War on Terror as contributing to increasing deficits and National Debt. The question now is, "Why are we still engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan?" Why are the rich still benefiting from the Bush tax cuts? All this was supposed to stop the moment Obama took office. Of course it was campaign rhetoric at the time, and is now confronted with reality until he can "totally change the economic system."



With the benefit of a "retrospectrascope" it is fact that the downturn in the economy began after six straight years of economic growth under the Bush White House and Republican Congress (although to be fair, one can find plenty of room for improvement), when Democrats took over the Congress. Further, Democrats including Obama voted in favor of the "Bush" stimulus bill and the bailouts for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Bear Sterns.



Obama has repeatedly blamed President Bush for the "hand he was dealt," which like all good prevarications, contains elements of truth. But what he doesn't divulge is that his budget deficit projections are in the trillions of dollars, not for one budget or election cycle, but for generations. All the while he smoothly intones that he will cut the deficit in half by the end of his "first" term. If one pays attention, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how he plans to do it.



He begins by putting forth a budget that alone has rocked the entire world's economic system to the point that the UN, Russia and China are calling for replacing the dollar as the basis of international currency. (Question: Why is the dollar the lead international currency? Answer: Because it has been the most stable of all currencies since the end of WWII; better than gold for a reason, and now that reason is rapidly evaporating.) After piling up enormous deficits for several years, all it would take would be to cut the pork during the last year and there one has it, the deficit would be cut in half. Far fetched? I'd bet a dinner at Ruth's Chris for four.



When Obama eventually cuts that quadruple inflated budget in half, he would still be devaluing the dollar at a rate that is more than double that of the past eight years, but will have kept his promise to reduce the budget deficit in half. Note: Obama makes reference to cutting the "budget deficit," not National Debt, in half. By way of explanation, devaluing the dollar makes American made products attractive on foreign markets while it drives the cost of imported goods up, thereby making American made products also more attractive at home.



At the same time, Obama is protecting the so called, "working class" from the inflationary effects by overt efforts to drive up wages by increasing union membership throughout the workforce and thereby driving up the cost of labor across the board. That not-so-veiled attempt to enact "Universal Unionization" is called the "Employee Free Choice Act" (EFCA) which Obama promised "I will make it the law of the land when I'm president of the United States." Of course his assertion assumes that Congress will enact EFCA. The provisions of the act as presently written would strip independent and free employees of the right to a secret ballot, subject them and their families to harassment and threats by union thugs (organizers) and essentially force unionization on the workforce. Readers know it, the Administration knows it, unions know it and anyone who is awake knows it.



In the light of day, union membership is ultimately designed to provide income and benefits for the union hierarchy first, foremost and always. They get rich on the backs of members through union membership dues. Then from time to time they take union members out on strike to show their clout which strips those same workers of income and jobs. The sad truth is that unions have cost/lost more money, destroyed more companies, driven more companies/work overseas and brought about more illegal immigration that is taking work away from American workers at home in the last fifty years, than any other single factor in the economy.



Organized labor supported Obama during the election and now it's "payback" time. He envisions that by vastly expanding union membership through enactment of the "Employee Free Choice Act" he will lock in what he is rapidly making a strangle hold on the economy.



Some companies deserve to be struck, and also are complicit in the loss of US jobs. Those CEOs fall into what is commonly referred to here as "Robber Barrons," taking vast amounts of money out of a company and shareholder equity without contributing any reason for employees to be loyal or provide stockholders with even a small return on their investment.



Investing in the stock market has always carried a level of risk. But risk, whether intentional or otherwise was transformed into gambling and formalized by Phil Gramm, a Republican, and Bill Clinton during the Clinton Administration. It provided broad deregulation of the financial markets and caps on Executive compensation. The result was compensation for CEOs being paid in stock options. That drove CEOs to take actions that would inflate the price of publically traded stock, totally unrelated to actual company performance, in order to increase their income. Opportunists rode the wave to an all time high before the bubble burst last summer.



The collapse of the stock market is directly attributable to the following factors and although the list is not comprehensive, it is a good start: CEO equity greed, overinflated stock prices, gambling, margin accounts, the spike in oil prices at $150/barrel, hedge funds, sub-prime lending, and the banking crisis.



During the Carter Administration a piece of legislation entitled the "Community Reinvestment Act" (CRA) was signed into law. Its purpose was to force lending institutions to loan money in communities that has previously be "redlined," that is, where little or no lending activity took place because of socio-economic factors. It turns out that the "disqualifying" socio-economic factors were primarily within black neighborhoods. The CRA made "redlining" illegal and "encouraged," that is, forced banks to make loans that were risky, basing a bank's ratings for future growth on lending activity within the "redlined" communities.



Over time there were a number of changes to the law whose ultimate and laudable objective was to bring the black community as a whole on par with their non-black counterparts. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bought loans that were offered under the auspices of the CRA and combined or bundled them with other loans. Generally, non-performance of CRA loans was from the outset and has remained historically at a higher level than non-CRA loans. Enter the Sub-Prime loan era. Senators Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank forced banks to make Sub-Prime loans under the aegis of the CRA so that as the housing bubble inflated and speculators engaged in house flipping and thereby making large profits in short order, members of the black community could exercise the same opportunities.



The way that banks structured sub-prime loans was as an adjustable rate mortgage. The initial rate was actually below the prime rate set by the Federal Reserve, thus "sub-prime," where a loan payment might be very attractive for a long enough time to afford borrowers the opportunity in the inflating housing market to "flip" a house for profit. Co-incidentally, the bulk of sub-prime adjustable rates were scheduled to mature to higher rates during the spring and summer of 2008.



Following hurricanes Erin, Dennis, Katrina, Gustav and Ike, the price of oil began to rise and soon speculators jumped on. Seeing the opportunity to gouge the U.S., OPEC even threatened production cutbacks. Speculators had a "field-day" driving the price of oil from under $30 dollars a barrel in 2001 to $60 a barrel in 2007 and reaching $150/barrel in the spring and summer of 2008.



The price of gasoline rose from about $2.00 per gallon to over $4.00 per gallon beginning in January 2007 peaking in July 2008 at over $4.00/gallon. So, a commuter who had been paying $200.00 a month was confronted with a jump to $400.00 a month at exactly the same time that the house payments went from hundreds of dollars per month to over a thousand dollars because of the rate adjustment previously negotiated sub-prime mortgage loans. That combination resulted in defaults followed by foreclosures.



With millions of non-performing loans with payments late or non-existent, underwritten by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, those agencies were unable to meet the mountain of financial obligations and had to be rescued by the Federal Government. (Did those CEOs have their bonuses taxed at 90 %?)? But the tsunami had begun because banks that had purchased bundled (toxic) loans from those two government created entities had also been lending to gamblers in the stock market who were using borrowed money for among other things, margin trading. (Margin trading is a means of leveraging funds to buy more stock than there is money available in a particular trader's account.) Once the trade is settled ostensibly at a profit, the money is paid back with interest. If a stock goes down in price the margin is immediately called by the lender.



Since the stock market, which had in fact become a somewhat regulated gambling operation, had become hyper-inflated in relation to book value, banks began drawing back lending for margin accounts or as noted began calling the margins for those stocks that declined in value. Trading firms' liquid assets ran dry over night and "voila!" we witnessed the collapse of Bear Sterns due primarily to its holdings of toxic sub-prime mortgage assets and later Lehman Brothers. Bear Sterns received government help ostensibly because of Stearns sub-prime involvement and Lehman was allowed to collapse and was bought out by various US and overseas entities.



The ripple or should one say, the "wave" of failures and government intervention has dramatically increased with the advent of the Obama Administration, but he claims that he is dealing with the hand he was dealt when in fact between his calamitous talk and ramrod of the $787 billion stimulus bill, he has created a shift in the financial market's tectonic plates.



In an earlier essay I wrote, "Many Republicans, so called "conservatives" tell us they want Obama to succeed. At what? If he succeeds at the promises to "totally change the economic system," "totally change America," and "totally change the world" the U.S. will descend the ladder to third world status in less than a decade.



Obama doesn't have a clue how the U.S. economy works nor does he want to know, any more than he knows how national security, or virtually the entire gamut of U.S. government functions work. Government is not the solution, it is the problem. Government bureaucrats are empire builders and creation of four hundred thousand new bureaucratic jobs does not boost the economy, it burdens it. Government does not create economies, it may regulate them, it may harm them, and central planning czars are reminiscent of Soviet central economic planning.



Message to Obama, socialism/communism doesn't work, and another attempt, this time in the US will only damage the US, including those to whom you want to "spread the wealth." Think about it and put on the brakes because your "gallows humor" is called that for a reason.



I urge all Americans who believe in freedom to make your thoughts known to your Congressman and Senators. Otherwise, stand by for the fast ride into a Cuba, Russia, China, or some other "workers paradise."

Barack Hussein Obama: Security Threat to the United States of America

29 October 2008: I hate politics. I don’t like writing about them since my focus is on terrorism and not the happenings in the beltway. However, before you cast your vote this November 4, 2008 you need to look at all the issues surrounding Barack Hussein Obama and think real hard about the repercussions of this individual being placed in charge of the most powerful, most proud, freedom based nation on this earth.

Barack Hussein Obama is a security risk to our nation both inwardly and outwardly.

Unfortunately right now we are in an economic crisis and when it comes to money people get a little out of whack, they tend to do things that they wouldn’t do under normal circumstances and they make rash decisions because of the fear that they could lose financially.

Please step back from your wallet and bank account, your 401K and your stock holdings for one brief minute or so and look at the big picture. Look at the next four years. Look at your children, your grandchildren, your neighbors, your town, your community, or the city you live in. Look at your country.

George W. Bush did not place us in this economic crisis, first and foremost. He may have contributed to some of it by no means did he start this problem. This problem started back decades ago in reality. So long ago that many of the registered voters wouldn’t even remember because they weren’t even a gleam in their daddy’s eye yet. However, they are registered voters today and they are the nucleus of a voting disaster about to happen. If you are 45-50 or older you remember Jimmy Carter, the “peacemaker” at any cost, willing to compromise with any entity regardless of the assumed risks that those relationships would bring about. Most people equate Jimmy Carter to peanuts and “Habitats for Humanity” and know little else about this guy.

On Tuesday April 15, 2008 (this year) this senile, terrorist honoring jackass named Jimmy Carter laid a wreath at the grave of Yasser Arafat in Ramallah in honor of the man who pushed Middle Eastern to the level that it is today. Yasser Arafat, the father of Middle Eastern Terrorism for the cause of the Palestinians should have had his grave urinated on, not have a wreath placed on it by a former US President.

Under Carter’s disastrous reign, our inflation rose to 16%, our interest rates were at 22% and the marginal taxes were 70%. (Marginal Tax Rate- the percentage of extra income received that must be paid in taxes.) He pushed for Equal Housing for all minorities which in essence means “Put them in a house regardless of whether or not they can afford it”. This type of thinking, this socialistic approach to fair housing has finally caught up with us and a great amount of people want to push us into the brink of no return by voting for Barack Hussein Obama.

Let’s look at Obama’s plan to redistribute the wealth. Capitalists call it socialism.

• a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

• (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

Socialism is a trademark of a transition of a society to communism, although not all socialists are communists. Capitalism, one of the greatest freedoms we have will slowly disappear once Barack Hussein Obama is in office. Remember this fact when you think about “Change” as promised by this individual. We have already allowed a few items get past us over the years and in my lifetime I have noticed the changes in our society, rights and laws, political system, business practices and the way we live our lives. There will be changes under the reign of Obama but they won’t be the changes you might be thinking are coming that would actually enhance life for the average person in the United States.

The problem arises when people in office sign bills into legislation that last longer than their presidential terms. They become laws, they become reality and you are stuck with them good or bad.

There were laws signed some time back that made companies hire according to race and gender as opposed to qualifications for the job. They were presented under the guise of being “Equal Opportunity” when in fact they removed the “equal” part completely. For instance, if you are a Caucasian applying for a job for which you are qualified you may well be rejected for the position purely based on the fact that you are Caucasian and not the designated ethnic background that the employer is required to hire for that position. Therefore, the term “Equal Opportunity Employer” is actually a misnomer, an actual lie designed to create an unequal playing field in order to fulfill a preset government quota.

This was initially designed for the African-Americans within our society in an effort to appease them. Radical speakers like Martin Luther King and Malcom X promoted these ideas and for those of us old enough to remember the race riots in Detroit and Los Angeles, these riots were a direct byproduct of these black radical speakers. They spoke of equality yet failed to explain to an entire race exactly what true equality meant. They insisted that equality would be brought about by protests, violence and shifting laws and legislation to accommodate blacks regardless of how they applied themselves or their qualifications in any situation. When you place one race ahead of another, you are doing nothing but practicing Racism yourself. In essence, laws were implemented to elevate the black people within the work place and housing markets regardless of their qualifications, education, work ethic or willingness to achieve a better life for themselves and their families. It was some sort of reverse discrimination automatically induced into our society as it placed one race in front of another based on nothing more than color.

To further illustrate how the race issue is out of balance, watch the news and notice that if three black kids beat up a white kid on a school bus, it is simply a fight. If the color roles are reversed and it is three white kids beating up on a black kid, it is now labeled as a “Hate Crime” and assault charges are pressed along with “Hate Crime” punishment additional punishments. That’s equality?

This exact game plan opened the door for the Muslims as they are following the exact patterns of the radical black movement in the 60’s and 70’. CAIR is a Muslim version of the NAACP and they are twisting the laws of this country to where they are almost impossible to recognize as reasonable.

I admire men like Colin Powell who achieved great successes without playing the “Race Card”. Among my list of accomplished favorite entertainers are Samuel L. Jackson, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock and Bill Cosby. See, nobody forced me to accept these people as I choose them because of their talents, their drive and their achievements. I have met some brilliant doctors and businessmen who are black. They are successful because they chose to be. They didn’t come from rich families, but instead they started out with a dream, worked hard and achieved it. That makes them very equal as men in my eyes. Most of these people that I’ve spoken with whether at a meeting or over lunch have commented on their disappointment at people playing the “Race Card” as they feel it is an insult to their own race.

Yet, when we look closely at Barack Hussein Obama, that quality of achievement based on hard work doesn’t apply. This man was cultivated from a young age to be inserted into American Politics to empower groups of people that personally I don’t think we should give any more leverage within our society and we especially don’t want them with any political power within this great nation. It will lead to our demise. His birth records are still not 100% clear as to whether he should even be allowed to run for President. His radical affiliations with Black Empowerment groups cannot be discounted simply because he has maintained a distance during the elections. He is fully endorsed by CAIR which should throw red flags up across the board as it is a signal that the Islamic infiltration into our society and the American political system will move forward almost unfettered and surely with his full support.

If you think that “Equal Opportunity” is out of kilter now, you can be assured that it will become such a huge issue that violence across this country will erupt in many major cities. He will instill a hatred between black people and white people due to laws passed in favor of ethnic minorities while disregarding the rights of the American people overall, as a whole. This is a huge country made up of many ethnic backgrounds and cultures. The laws must be fair to everyone, not just a select segment of the population.

All the promises of government programs will cost a bundle and if you notice, every time the subject comes up, he refers to the 10 Billion being spent in Iraq each month. This indicates that he will withdraw the troops from trouble spots around the world which will create a multitude of Taliban style governments which will unite and bring their jihad directly to our homeland. He has no choice but to raise taxes in order to implement his programs and regardless of the promises, the middle class will feel this tax hike too. The money has to come from somewhere and the 10% that he wants to go after for money still cannot foot the bill for all his promises.

Barack Hussein Obama will sit down with terrorist states like Iran and Syria and trade off American freedoms and diminish the security of this great nation much like Jimmy Carter did. Islam will become a huge factor in the makeup of the American Political system to the point that it will severely diminish our freedoms and liberties. We are already inundated with a huge Islamic movement, designed by the Muslim Brotherhood and Rouge Islamic States to bring about the destruction and destroy the sovereignty of this great country. The monies are flowing in from overseas to build mosques, fund lobbyists and lawyers in Washington DC and funneling into the black communities that surround these inner city mosques. Between Muslims and disenchanted blacks across this country, we have a huge militant, anti-US establishment army forming right under our very noses. This means nothing but trouble if we put this man, Barack Hussein Obama in office. His entire background is one of organized protests, black militancy, black radical ideology, Islamic schooling and doctrine, lies and suspicious associates.

People fail to realize that we, the United States of America are the primary wall between Islam and the rest of the world being taken over by these insane Muslims. Look around the world. Please show me one place where Islam is predominant in the society that is a place where you would want to live and raise your children and grandchildren. Islam brings death, destruction, murder, poverty, civil unrest, destruction of access to capitalism by all men and wealth is distributed to a select few within the society. Sharia banking will infiltrate into our society which will undermine the entire banking system and destroy us financially.

Let’s look over at oil rich Saudi Arabia where the rich and elite do quite nicely yet the lower class is impoverished. 30-40% of the population living in Saudi Arabia live on less than 1200 Riyals ($330) per month (current rate exchange as of today) which is the poverty threshold there. That is based on a family of six. The US poverty threshold for a family of six in 2007 was $2300 a month and only 12-16% of our population falls into this category. If Barack Hussein Obama gets into office and starts to implement his strategy of spreading it around, the percentage of our families living in poverty will soar to record levels. Add to this the Global Economic Crisis and we will see poverty numbers you cannot even imagine.

As if economic despair isn’t enough for any country to handle, you will see a deterioration of our military and our national defense overall. DHS will be overhauled to where they are even less powerful than they are today. The FBI will lose a vast majority of its ability to investigate any that is black or Muslim and we will be open targets for our enemies. China has already placed a stranglehold on our economy with its flooding of our markets of cheap, poorly made and non-regulated products including foods for animals and pets that contain poisons that kill. You can thank Bill Clinton and his wanting to kiss up to the Chinese regime for much of our economic woes today. Remember what I said about have we end up living with deals made by previous presidents.

China as of August 2008, according to the US Treasury owns 541 Billion dollars of our gross national up 70 Billion from a year ago August. Japan holds the highest debt which is 586 Billion as of August 2008 yet they are down from the previous August by 10 Billion. The “Oil Exporters” are sitting at 180 Billion up 45 Billion from August of 2007.

Our national debt is shifting to our enemies. That’s not a healthy place to be.

It is not wise to trade National Security for a false Economic Security. Economic security cannot exist within a country where National Security has been compromised. Don’t sell your life, your freedoms and your safety to Barack Hussein Obama for the price of a single vote. You will regret it years from now. We all will regret your decision.

The fact is Americans are NOT hearing the FACTS on this individual and we

have lost! Many of us are old enough to remember what happened with the rise of

Adolph Hitler and I am dumbfounded that Americans are selecting this individual

as key facts are suppressed.

We continue to preach to the choir, because most Americans don't hear this

from the media. Those I talk to are outrageously ignorant of the FACTS. And,

this candidate for President has also refused us access to key school records,

his medical records, and even his birth certificate. What is he hiding and who

is providing much of this money which is buying this election? The St.

Petersburg Times of Tampa has an editorial endorsing Obama and called me about

my e-mail allegedly published by the Washington Post. I told them the truth

that it was a fraud (as admitted by the Washington Post in their apology to me),

but I gave them seven FACTS which should disqualify Obama as a Presidential

candidate. They could NOT REFUTE a single one of them. We are facing a

national tragedy and I am very concerned we will learn it too late. You can

hate Bush and McCain and Republicans or whatever, but this individual is an

embarrassment to all Democrats as more than an extreme left wing

liberal who grew up in an anti-American culture and whose mentors and associates

do not wish us well and several are felons. He has taken the American flag off

his airplane and did not put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem

(documented).

The FBI and even the N.Y. Times have substantiated several key facts, but

the Public seems more concerned with the cost of Sarah Palin's wardrobe and

attacking her personally with lies and other issues inconsequential to our

national security. Joe Plumber is personally crucified for asking a reasonable

and fair question the answer to which Obama later confirmed yes he "would spread

the wealth around", ie. socialism.

I know that many of you are sick and tired of all this political BS (Pelosi)but

if you read just one more thing between now and next month's election, I urge

you to read the following editorial.

To Barack Hussein Obama,

The New York Times carried a story on Saturday, October 4, 2008 that proved you

had a significantly closer relationship with Bill Ayers than what you previously

admitted. While the issue of your relationship is of concern, the greater

concern is that you lied to America about it.

The Chicago Sun reported on May 8, 2008 that FBI records showed that you had a

significantly closer relationship with Tony Rezko than what you previously

admitted. In the interview, you said that you only saw Mr. Rezko a couple of

times a year. The FBI files showed that you saw him weekly While the issue of

your relationship is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to America

about it.

Your speech in Philadelphia on March 18, 2008 about 'race' contradicted your

statement to Anderson Cooper on March 14 when you said that you never heard

Reverend Wright make his negative statements about white America. While your

attendance at Trinity Church for 20 years is of concern, the greater concern is

that you lied to America on March 14.

In your 1st debate with John McCain, you said that you never said that you would

meet with the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea without

'preparations' at lower levels ... Joe Biden repeated your words in his debate

with Sarah Palin ... while the video tape from your debate last February clearly

shows that you answered 'I would' to the question of meeting with those leaders

within 12 months without 'any' preconditions. While your judgment about meeting

with enemies of the USA without pre-conditions is of concern, the greater

concern is that you lied to America in the debate with McCain.

On July 14, 2008, you said that you always knew that the surge would work while

the video tapes of you from more than a year ago show that you stated that the

surge would not work. While your judgment about military strategy as a potential

commander in chief is of concern, the greater concern is that you lied to

America on July 14.

You now claim that your reason for voting against funding for the troops was

because the bill did not include a time line for withdrawal while the video

tapes of you from more than a year ago show that you voted against additional

funding because you wanted our troops to be removed immediately .. not in 16

months after the 2008 election as you now claim. While your judgment about

removing our troops unilaterally in 2007 is of concern, the greater concern is

that you lied to America about your previous position.

You claim to have a record of working with Republicans while the record shows

that the only bill that you sponsored with a Republican was with Chuck Lugar ..

and it failed. The record shows that you vote 97% in concert with the Democrat

party and that you have the most liberal voting record in the Senate. You joined

Republicans only 13% of the time in your votes and those 13% were only after

agreement from the Democrat party. While it is of concern that you fail to

include conservatives in your actions and that you are such a liberal, the

greater concern is that you distorted the truth.

In the primary debates of last February, 2008, you claimed to have talked with a

'Captain' of a platoon in Afghanistan 'the other day' when in fact you had a

discussion in 2003 with a Lieutenant who had just been deployed to Afghanistan.

You lied in that debate.

In your debates last spring, you claimed to have been a 'professor of

Constitutional law' when in fact you have never been a professor of

Constitutional law. In this last debate, you were careful to say that you

'taught a law class' and never mentioned being a 'professor of Constitutional

law.' You lied last spring.

You and Joe Biden both claimed that John McCain voted against additional funding

for our troops when the actual records show the opposite. You distorted the

truth.

You and Joe Biden claim that John McCain voted against funding for alternate

energy sources 20 times when the record shows that John McCain specifically

voted against funding for bio fuels, especially corn ... and he was right ....

corn is too expensive at producing ethanol, and using corn to make ethanol

increased the price of corn from $2 a bushel to $6 a bushel for food. You

distorted the truth.

You and Joe Biden claim that John McCain voted like both of you for a tax

increase on those making as little as $42,000 per year while the voting record

clearly shows that John McCain did not vote as you and Joe Biden. You lied to

America.

You and Joe Biden claim that John McCain voted with George W. Bush 90% of the

time when you know that Democrats also vote 90% of the time with the President

(including Joe Biden) because the vast majority of the votes are procedural. You

are one of the few who has not voted 90% of the time with the president because

you have been missing from the Senate since the day you got elected. While your

absence from your job in the Senate is of concern, the greater concern is that

you spin the facts.

You did not take an active roll in the rescue plan. You claimed that the Senate

did not need you while the real reason that you abstained was because of your

close relationships with the executives of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Countrywide,

and Acorn ... who all helped cause the financial problems of today ... and they

all made major contributions to your campaign. While your relationship with

these executives and your protection of them for your brief 3 years in the

Senate (along with Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, and Chris Dodd)

is of concern, the greater concern is that you are being deceitful.

You forgot to mention that you personally represented Tony Rezko and Acorn. Tony

Rezko, an Arab and close friend to you, was convicted of fraud in Chicago real

estate transactions that bilked millions of tax dollars from the Illinois

government for renovation projects that you sponsored as a state senator ... and

Acorn has been convicted of voter fraud, real estate sub prime loan

intimidation, and illegal campaign contributions. Tony Rezko has contributed

hundreds of thousands of dollars to your political campaigns. You personally

used your political positions to steer money to both Tony Rezko and Acorn and

you used Acorn to register thousands of phony voters for Democrats and you.

While your relationships with Rezko and Acorn are of concern, the greater

concern is that you omitted important facts about your relationships with them

to America.

During your campaign, you said: 'typical white person.' 'they cling to their

guns and religion.' 'they will say that I am black.' You played the race card.

You tried to label any criticism about you as racist. You divide America.

You claim that you will reduce taxes for 95% of America, but you forgot to tell

America that those reductions are after you remove the Bush tax reductions. You

have requested close to $1 Billion in earmarks and several million for Acorn.

Your social programs will cost America $1 Trillion per year and you claim that a

reduction in military spending ($100 billion for Iraq) can pay for it. While

your economic plan of adding 30% to the size of our federal government is of

concern, the greater concern is that you are deceiving America.

The drain to America's economy by foreign supplied oil is $700 Billion per year

(5% of GDP) while the war in Iraq is $100 Billion (less than 1% of GDP). You

voted against any increases to oil exploration for the last 3 years and any

expansion of nuclear facilities. Yet today, you say that you have always been

for more oil and more nuclear. You are lying to America.

Mr. Obama, you claimed that you 'changed' your mind about public financing for

your campaign because of the money spent by Republican PACs in 2004. The truth

is that the Democrat PACs in 2004, 2006, and 2008 spent twice as much as the

Republican PACs (especially George Soros and MoveOn.org). You are lying to

America.

Mr. Obama, you have done nothing to stop the actions of the teachers union and

college professors in the USA. They eliminated religion from our history. They

teach pro gay agendas and discuss sex with students as young as first grade.

They bring their personal politics into the classrooms. They disparage

conservatives. They brainwash our children. They are in it for themselves .....

not America. Are you reluctant to condemn their actions because

teachers/professors and the NEA contribute 25% of all money donated to Democrats

and none to Republicans? You are deceiving America.

Oh Mr. Obama, Teddy Roosevelt said about a hundred years ago that we Americans

should first look at the character of our leaders before anything else. Your

character looks horrible. While you make good speeches, motivating speeches,

your character does not match your rhetoric. You talk the talk but do not walk

the walk.

1. You lied to America. You lied many times. You distorted facts. You parsed

your answers like a lawyer.

2. You distorted the record of John McCain in your words and in your

advertisements.

3. You had associations with some very bad people for your personal political

gains and then lied about those associations.

4. You divide America about race and about class.

Now let me compare your record of lies, distortions, race bating, and

associations to John McCain:

War hero. Annapolis graduate with 'Country first.' Operational leadership

experience like all 43 previously elected presidents of the USA as a Navy

Officer for 22 years. 26 years in the Senate. Straight talk. Maverick. 54% of

the time participated on bills with Democrats. Never asked for an earmark. The

only blemish on his record is his part in the Keating 5 debacle about 25 years

ago.

Mr. Obama, at Harvard Law School, you learned that the end does not justify the

means. You learned that perjury, false witness, dishonesty, distortion of truth

are never tolerated. Yet, your dishonesty is overwhelming. Your dishonesty is

tremendously greater than the dishonesty that caused the impeachment and

disbarment of Bill Clinton. Your dishonesty is tremendously greater than the

dishonesty of Scooter Libby. You should be ashamed.

Mr. Obama, it is time for us Americans to put aside our differences on political

issues and vote against you because of your dishonest character. It is time for

all of us Americans to put aside our political issues and vote for America

first. It is time for America to vote for honesty.

Any people who vote for you after understanding that you are dishonest should be

ashamed of themselves for making their personal political issues more important

than character. Would these same people vote for the anti-Christ if the

anti-Christ promised them riches? Would they make a golden calf while Moses was

up the mountain? Would they hire someone for a job if that someone lied in an

interview? .... of course not. So why do some of these people justify their

votes for you even though they know you are dishonest? Why do they excuse your

dishonesty? because some of these people are frightened about the future, the

economy, and their financial security .... and you are praying on their fears

with empty promises ... and because some (especially our young people) are

consumed by your wonderful style and promises for 'change' like the Germans who

voted for Adolf Hitler in 1932. The greed/envy by Germans in 1932 kept them from

recognizing Hitler for who he was. They loved his style.

Greed and envy are keeping many Americans from recognizing you ... your style

has camouflaged your dishonesty .... but many of us see you for who you really

are ... and we will not stop exposing who you are every day, forever if it is

necessary.

Mr. Obama, you are dishonest. Anyone who votes for you is enabling dishonesty.

Mr. Obama, America cannot trust that you will put America first in your

decisions about the future

Mr. Obama, you are not the 'change' that America deserves. We cannot trust you.

Mr. Obama, You are not ready and not fit to be commander in chief.

Mr. Obama, John McCain does not have as much money as your campaign to refute

all of your false statements. And for whatever reasons, the mainstream media

will not give adequate coverage or research about your lies, distortions, word

parsing, bad associations, race bating, lack of operational leadership

experience, and general dishonest character. The media is diverting our

attention to your relationships and ignoring the fact that you lied about those

relationships. The fact that you lied is much more important than the

relationships themselves .... just like with Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon ...

Monica Lewinski and Watergate were not nearly as bad as the fact that those

gentlemen lied about the events ... false witness ... perjury ... your

relationships and bad judgments are bad on their own .... but your lies are even

worse.

Therefore, by copy of this memo, all who read this memo are asked to send it to

everyone else in America before it is too late. We need to do the job that the

media will not do. We need to expose your dishonesty so that every person in

America understands who you really are before election day.

Mr. Obama, in a democracy, we get what we deserve. And God help America if we

deserve you.
