Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott released a statement following U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson’s ruling Monday that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate is unconstitutional and strikes down the entire law:

“This is a great day for liberty and the vitality of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution limits congressional power, and in this case, Congress exceeded its power. As Judge Vinson’s decision made clear, Congress cannot regulate inactivity under the Commerce Clause, and therefore exceeded its Constitutionally-set boundaries by requiring all Americans – against their will – to buy government-approved health insurance.

“Judge Vinson also declared that ‘because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire act must be declared void.’ This is an important step to the path of reducing government intrusion into the lives of all Americans.”

Finally, a conservative view I can agree with. There are many good conservative ideas, but you won't find them often on this site. And, as anyone can clearly see from the hostility from a few posers, and I mean posters, we aren't one nation under God any more. I say break this country up into states or colonies again. If states can change voting districts then anything can be done.

I would leave it up to the states to secede - 90% of the population must agree on secession through a vote, and have a weak central government in charge of environment, the Supreme Court, and defense (a small defense).

You folks want private corporations to take over our postal service, prisons, and food inspection? Got it. Schools - take them. Roads and highways? Build them yourselves.

It'll be great. Maybe we can name the new country Yugoslavia too.

I hope one day the American people better understand why we don't want a massive federal government running our services. I read a cool article at http://farseer.org/2011/02/03/mankind-inept-at-managing-large-businesses/ that touches on some of the many reasons we should run, not walk, from enormous centrally controlled systems.
