Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for a number of burglaries of motor vehicles during an event at Schroeder Hall in July.

Sometime between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on July 27 person(s) unknown broke into at least five vehicles parked in the parking lot of Schroeder Hall during a dance.

Among the items stolen from the vehicles were a CMMG model AR-15 rifle with a green gun case and four 30-round magazines, several purses and handbags, credit cards, debit cards and cash.

In one case, Goliad County Sheriff’s investigators tracked a stolen ATM card to a Stripes store on Sam Houston Drive in Victoria as well as The Other Store on Port Lavaca Drive in Victoria, where the card was used to make purchases.

The same card was used at both locations within a 21-minute period to purchase gasoline around midnight the same night of the burglaries.
