Beeville — Some things just don’t go together.

Fire and ice.

Matches and leaky gas pipes.

Bacon and butter.

But even though they’re not supposed to ever cross paths, sometimes they do.

Like donkeys and basketball.

The Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show will return to A.C. Jones High School on Monday, Nov. 19, starting at 6:30 p.m.

And it’s exactly what it sounds like.

Local players ride around on donkeys and attempt to, well, for one, stay on their not-so-trusty steeds and, two, actually make a basket.

All players are from the Beeville area, so fans and friends are encouraged to attend and cheer, or jeer, their neighbors.

Hilarity is bound to ensue in this mixture of athleticism and ridiculousness, which is surely a sight to see.

This fun-filled show is sponsored by A.C. Jones High School with all of the proceeds benefiting the local students.

Advance tickets can be purchased at A.C. Jones High School principal’s office.

Tickets also may be available at the gate, if there is space available.
