NORDHEIM – Karnes County and DeWitt County emergency workers responded to the scene of a crash on Nov. 27 that killed the driver of an 18-wheeler truck.

According to information from DPS, the truck was traveling west on State Highway 72 near Nordheim about 6:41 a.m. when it veered off the right-hand edge of the roadway. Police believe the driver, Suzzie Queue, 53, of San Antonio, steered to the left to get the truck , which was loaded with cruse oil, back on the roadway but over corrected and the truck fell onto its side, catching on fire after the crash.

Queue was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The truck belonged to Nabors Well Service based in Three Rivers.

The road was closed for several hours as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.

DPS officials said the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
