The Jazz festival was by invitation only and consisted of 14 Class 5A schools from San Antonio, Temple, San Marcos and Austin, one 4A school, Goliad, and four middle schools from San Marcos and Austin.
Four Goliad High School students that were chosen as Outstanding Jazz Musicians of the Festival. They were Evan Fleming (trumpet), Matthew Bruns (trombone), Marcus Benavidez (drums) and Alysann Mendoza (vocals).
Next for the Jazz Orchestra will be the TASB Conference performance on Thursday, March 7 in Corpus Christi.
