GOLIAD – Deputies in the Goliad County Sheriff's Office participated in a simulated exercise Saturday to prepare them for their response to shootings, which have similarly occurred at Colorado's Columbine High School and Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The drills, which were held at Goliad Middle School, were led by GCSO Captain Tom Copeland.

See story in Wednesday's Advance-Guard.
