Interest in GED classes has been so high that we have opened another testing date for those who missed the first session. If you are interested in free online classes to prepare you to take the GED test, please come to the Runge Public Library on Wednesday, March 5 at 9:30 a.m. Testing will take three hours (9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).

The testing is to determine what level of study you are ready for. You will also be asked to take a survey to determine your level of computer literacy and whether or not you will need further computer training to navigate the online classes. An instructor from the Region 20 Educational Service Center will be available by phone, email, or text, and occasionally in person to help you with any questions about the classes.

The GED test itself will only be available online, so online classes are a good way to practice. We are trying to secure regular computer help and possibly basic computer classes here at the library, so if you can volunteer a regular time to be available to help people who have basic computer use questions, or even lead a small class in basic computer use, please let us know.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please come by the Runge Public Library or give us a call at (830) 239-4192.
