The City of George West and the Unify to Beautify (UTB) will sponsor a Pride/Cleanup Day on Saturday, Oct. 20, for George West residential garbage customers only. Residents must present a City utility billing stub before participating to verify garbage service.

Officials urge all citizens to roll up their sleeves and take advantage of this cleanup day. Designated trash receptacles will be located at the City Yard on 110 Business 59 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Should any of the receptacles fill, that portion of the cleanup will close.

Tire disposal will be open to all Live Oak County residents. Tires may be brought to the George West City Yard Saturday, April 14, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. or Monday and Tuesday, April 16-17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Once the tire disposal receptacles are full, this portion of the cleanup will close. Only passenger tires, no rims will be accepted. No businesses are allowed to dispose. Tire disposal will be sponsored by TCEQ.
