Mr. Krawietz was born to Joe Krawietz Sr. and Martha Jarzombek Krawietz on Oct. 15, 1943, in Kenedy. He was an electrician for CPL in Kenedy and Pollock and Summitt in Houston.
Survivors include his longtime friend, Gayle Davila of Beeville; a daughter, Diana Lynn Krawietz of Live Oak; a son, Gerald H. Krawietz Jr. of Houston; two brothers, Robert Krawietz of Karnes City and David Krawietz of Victoria; one grandson, Ethan Tyler De Leon; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mariann Sickenius Krawietz; four brothers, Raymond Krawietz, Joe Krawietz Sr., James Krawietz Sr. and Paul Krawietz; and a sister, Alice Olson.
Visitation was held from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City.
The funeral service was conducted there at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon. Interment followed at the Karnes City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Krawietz, David Krawietz, John Olsen, Bill Hollman, Robert Hollman and Billy Don Hollman.
