Gobblers blank Lions

Monday February 18th the Kenedy Lions hosted the Cuero Gobblers the number 7 3A baseball team in the state.

The game was originally to be against George West but they cancelled due to basketball playoffs.

The Gobblers won the game 7-0 on 7 hits.

Rolie Zepeda started the game and went 3 innings giving up 4 runs.

Isaac Cruz pitched the next 2 innings not giving up any hits or runs.

Dominic Cruz pitched the last 2 innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits.

The one bright spot for the Lions was that they did strike out 11 batters on a ranked 3A team.

Defensively the Lions committed 5 errors while recording 3 hits offensively.

RayJ Garza doubled, and Dominic and JD De Los Santos both singled.
