Pack members earned law enforcement badges. Sheriff Kirby Brumby, assisted, by Chief Depu-ty Ellie Carter, Jail Administrator Gary Diaz and Patrol Captain Tom Copeland guided the scouts through the Sheriff’s Office, explaining the functions of the office and the duties of the personnel.
Each Cub Scout was fingerprinted using a child identity kit and the kits were presented to their parents for safekeeping.
The scouts also witnessed the functions of the dispatch office where all 9-1-1 calls are received so they would understand the importance of using 9-1-1 properly.
Den Leader Tony Saenz and Cub Scouts Nathan Saenz, Matthew Davila, Noel Johnson, George Soto and Acein Casanova were complimented on their scout program and congratulated for attaining their scout law enforcement badges.
