YORKTOWN – Five different players scored touchdowns as the Goliad Tiger junior varsity rolled to a 42-0 win over the Yorktown Wildcat JV on Thursday.

The Tiger defense, which has not yielded a point in Goliad’s two victories, scored two of the touchdowns and the special teams set up another.

Already up 22-0 in the second quarter, Duncan Mackay stripped the ball from a Wildcat and ran 38 yards before fumbling the ball. Teammate John Dorsett pounced on it in the end zone for the touchdown.

In the third quarter, Jamison Turley caused a fumble and David Camacho scooped up the ball and ran 28 yards for a TD. to make it 35-0.

Cameron Boggess’ 41-yard run and Steven Koehne’s extra-point kick provided the final 42-0 score.

Tyler Vaughn ran 60 yards for Goliad’s first TD and Boggess added a 2-point run to put the Tigers up 8-0. Dorsett’s 85-yard punt return for a touchdown made it 14-0.

On the ensuing kickoff, David Camacho caused a fumble to set up Ricky Waer’s 12-yard TD run. Boggess’ 2-point run padded the Tigers’ lead to 22-0.
