The Goliad Retired Teachers Association recently toured the Goliad County Library.

The construction of the new Texas History Room, services the library offers such as wi-fi, honor system paperbacks, free e-books, public-access computers, children’s programs, large-print books, and the Bull Durham advertisement were a few of the topics discussed.

An audio copy of the lecture recently given by Dr. Karen Hagan on the 1902 Goliad tornado is now available for those that were not able to attend. You may listen to this recording in the Texas History Room of the Goliad County Library. For hours, call 645-2291.

Parents can get their children ready for the summer reading program. Watch for upcoming articles in the Advance- Guard.

A schedule and dates of the programs and movies is available at the library.
