Goliad splits basketball games with Edna

EDNA – The Goliad Tigers defeated the Edna Cowboys 73-57 in a District 30-2A basketball game Tuesday night, while the Tigerettes dropped a 57-47 decision to the Cowgirls in an earlier game.

Four players scored in double figures for the Tigers as they improved to 23-7 overall and 9-3 in district play. Dalton Sturm led the way with 22 points and was followed by Davis Ohrt (12), Tyler Groll (10) and Jalen Moore (10).

The Tigerettes finished their district schedule with a 10-4 mark. Emily Perez scored 21 points to lead Goliad.
