SHINER – The Goliad Tigers and Tigerettes captured the team titles in the small-school division at Saturday’s Shiner Invitational Cross Country Meet.

Goliad’s John Von Dohlen won the small-school division individual title with a time of 15 minutes, 25 seconds over the three-mile course and teammates Quentin Alkek (15:52) and Austen Guerrero (15:59) followed in second, and third, respectively.

Also leading the Tigers were Jake Schneider (13th, 17:01), Ryan Walker (19th, 17:20), Rhett Davis (28th, 18:05) and Nick Westfall (34th, 18:43).

Goliad’s Andre DeLaGarza finished fourth with a time of 13:52 over the two-mile course. The Tigerettes were also led by Danielle Garza (7th, 14:11), Michala Janssen (26th, 15:13), Marla Reyna (28th, 15:19) and Hanna Henson (36th, 15:46).
