Recently, the Beeville and Refugio Boys & Girls Clubs were recipients of grants presented by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. We are honored and humbled to be acknowledged as an organization worthy of receiving this much needed assistance from the foundation. The CBCF has been assisting Coastal Bend nonprofits for many, many years, even when donations have been down during hard economic times.

On behalf of our board of directors, I would like to thank the foundation for continuing to aid us in our quest to provide a safe, drug-free environment for the youth of Bee and Refugio counties. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of having a place where our youth can spend their after school and summer leisure time. We sincerely believe youth engaged in a positive, productive environment assist them in growing into positive, productive adults.

We would also like to acknowledge community members Laura Fischer, Bill Whitworth and Lou Adele May, all of whom serve on the CBCF board. It takes a lot of time and dedication to serve on nonprofit boards. Many thanks from our board, staff and members.
