The Pettus United Methodist Church will observe the Holy Week Sunday, April 17, through Easter Sunday, April 24 with the following events:

Palm Sunday Worship, April 17, at 11 a.m.

Maundy Thursday Worship, April 21, at 7 p.m. (Holy Communion)

Prayer Path — The church sanctuary will be open on Thursday, April 21, from 5 until 10 p.m. and on Friday, April 22, from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for meditation and prayer. Interactive prayer stations will be placed in the church to assist worshipers in experiencing God’s presence in new and creative ways. The Prayer Path will be guided by printed programs so that everyone may move at their own pace.

The Prayer Path is designed by Rev. Tatum, who specializes in worship arts and has been responsible for altar design and prayer rooms in many settings including retreats, prayer vigils, seminars and conference-wide worship services. “Providing his type of opportunity to block out distractions and spend time in focused conversation with God is a passion,” she says.

Good Friday Worship, April 22, at 6 p.m. (A Service of Darkness Remembering Christ’s Crucifixion) at Pawnee United Methodist, FM 798.

Rev. Tatum also pastors at Pawnee UMC.
