Jesus “Chuy” Salinas, 77, of Beeville, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.

Mr. Salinas was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Rockport to Antonio and Francisca Ramirez Salinas.

He married Otilia M. Salinas and was a concrete laborer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Francisca Salinas; his wife, Otilia M. Salinas; a sister, Maria S. Castano; four brothers, Antonio Salinas, Melecio Salinas, Jose Salinas and Yndelecio Salinas.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances (Carlos) Garcia and Rosalinda Salinas, both of Beeville; three sisters, Elida S. Escalon, Defina Huerta and Trinidad Salazar, all of Beeville; four grandchildren, Ali Arispe, Matthew Villa, and Robert and Casey Castilla; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 15, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock by the Cursillistas of St. James Catholic Church.
