Jimmy he was born on March 10, 1983, in Beeville, Texas. He grew up in Three Rivers and graduated from Three Rivers High School in 2001. He attended Odessa College and Sul Ross University. Jimmy worked as a Production tester for Fesco, Ltd.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Emilio Garcia, great-grandfather, Amado Garcia, and uncle Ruben Garcia.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sonya Betancourt of Calallen; two sons, Jordan Matthew Garcia and Vicente Smokey Hernandez, Jr.; and a daughter, Ava Kayleigh Garcia, all of Calallen; his mother, Diana Garcia of Refugio; his grandparents, Nasario and Julia Tanguma of Three Rivers; brother, Timmy Lee (Adriana) Briseno of Three Rivers; sister, Rachael Garcia (Russell) of Refugio, sister Laura Briseno of San Antonio, sister Tina Briseno of Refugio; uncle David Garcia of Corpus Christi, uncle Rudy Garcia (Celia) of Three Rivers; aunt Elia Molinar (Larry) of Odessa; and nieces and nephews: Julissa Briseno, Amber Garcia, Samantha Briseno, Alaina Briseno,Ila Briseno, Abrahm Briseno, Ryan Briseno Aaron Briseno, Adrian Briseno, Mercedes DeLeon and Aiden Navarro.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, from 1 pm to 9 pm at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers, TX. Rosary was recited that same evening at 7 pm. Funeral Mass to celebrate Jimmy’s life was held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers. Interment followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ryan Deal, Phillip Galvan, Joe Adam Galvan, Joshua Ray, Nathan Molinar, Ryan Briseno and Brian Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers were Rudy Garcia, Jr., Brandon Dusek, JC Ford and Brad Lindsley.
